Do you currently sell networking technology through the channel? And have an understanding of the channel partners in this space? Do you sell technology hardware or services and solutions into this sector?

Working for a leading specialist distributor, who focus on two key technology areas; data networking and unified communications (UC). The data networking portfolio provides complete LAN (Local Area Networking) and WAN (Wide Area Networking) solutions, including wireless, security and switches. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager/Channel Account Manager to support their sales team and growth within the networking market. Based in Theale with a potential of hybrid working.

We are looking for a Business Development Manager who will focus driving opportunities within their high value channel accounts (Reseller/ MSP and SI partners). As market leaders in the consumer and SMB networking space we are looking for a driven, dynamic and ambitious professional to further enhance the sales UK team and bring new opportunities to the business.

You will be responsible for: -

  • Driving business growth for the companies portfolio of data networking solutions and technical services – also potentially tapping into their UC range.
  • Developing high value channel accounts in reseller, managed service providers and system integrators.
  • Building trusted relationships with all channel partners and nourish current relationships.
  • ·        Developing a strong pipeline of sales opportunity within target customers and provide regular feedback to the management team on open opportunities, forecasting and quarterly plans.
  • Building cross-functional relationships with all levels of customer organisation including C-Level, Directors, Sales, marketing, purchasing and technical.
  • Facilitating relationships with relevant departments internally to engage with counterparts in each organisation.
  • Managing the end-to-end sales process from concept to execution within each customer and closely manage the ROI and company expenditure in the best interest of the business.
  • Working effectively within a team environment and offer support to other areas of the business when required. For example, tradeshows, training activities, customer events.

About you: Business Development Manager

We are looking for someone with a strong background selling networking or UC products and working with key channel partners across this market space. You’ll know and understand this market exceptionally well.

In addition, we are also looking for: -

  • A proven background in IT product sales, ideally in the networking market.
  • A good track record of working with system integrators, managed service providers and resellers (Channel partners)
  • Highly motivated, well organized, detail-oriented and possesses good time management skills. Project management experience will be desirable.
  • Detailed market research and analysis skills, logical thought process and comprehensive customer reporting.
  • Team player with the ability to work closely with all areas of the business and cope well under the pressure of tight deadlines on numerous projects.
