Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to contribute by supporting financial processes and ensuring smooth operational routines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Transactions: Process payments, invoices, expenses, income, and payroll accurately and on time.
  • Invoice Management: Reconcile invoices against purchase orders, statements, and payments. Assist with processing credit card transactions.
  • Supplier and Order Support: Assist staff with placing orders, advising on best value, and resolving any supplier or order queries.
  • MIS Data Management: Ensure accurate financial data entry and reporting using the Finance MIS system.
  • Monthly Accounts Support: Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring timely processing of transactions.
  • Banking and Income: Bank any cash income and manage financial elements of trips, lettings, and catering provision.
  • Training and Guidance: Provide training to colleagues on financial administrative tasks under the direction of the Finance Officer.
About You:
  • Qualifications: Level 2 in Maths and English (or equivalent) and evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in relevant areas.
  • Experience: Experience in a finance function, ideally within an educational setting, with a strong understanding of financial systems and procedures.
  • IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, as well as experience with IT/MIS systems for data analysis and reporting.
  • Professionalism: A high standard of professionalism and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with various stakeholders.
