We are seeking dedicated Cover Supervisors to join our expanding team, working across a range of vibrant secondary schools in Reading. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain invaluable experience within the education sector and make a positive impact on student learning.
The Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain focused and engaged in their learning.
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons and activities, following clear instructions provided by the school.
- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment, effectively managing student behaviour.
- Provide constructive feedback to teachers regarding student engagement and progress.
- Adapt to diverse school environments and age groups, demonstrating flexibility and resilience.
- Uphold and adhere to all safeguarding policies and procedures.
We're Looking For:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students.
- Strong classroom management abilities, with a calm and assertive approach.
- A flexible and adaptable attitude, with the ability to respond to changing situations.
- A genuine interest in working with young people and supporting their learning.
- The ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a professional demeanour.
- A valid DBS check on the update service, or the willingness to obtain one.
- Experience working with young people is desirable, but not essential.
