The Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain focused and engaged in their learning.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons and activities, following clear instructions provided by the school.
  • Maintain a safe and positive learning environment, effectively managing student behaviour.
  • Provide constructive feedback to teachers regarding student engagement and progress.
  • Adapt to diverse school environments and age groups, demonstrating flexibility and resilience.
  • Uphold and adhere to all safeguarding policies and procedures.

We're Looking For:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students.
  • Strong classroom management abilities, with a calm and assertive approach.
  • A flexible and adaptable attitude, with the ability to respond to changing situations.
  • A genuine interest in working with young people and supporting their learning.
  • The ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a professional demeanour.
  • A valid DBS check on the update service, or the willingness to obtain one.
  • Experience working with young people is desirable, but not essential.
