We are working alongside a vibrant and forward-thinking school in Berkshire who are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Science Teacher with a specialism in Chemistry to join their school. This is a full-time position starting in January 2025.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in Science, with a focus on Chemistry, to students across Key Stages 3-5.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that cater to a diverse range of abilities and learning styles.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Science department to develop and refine curriculum content.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and events that promote the love of Science.
  • Maintain a safe and stimulating classroom environment, adhering to school policies on health and safety.
  • Engage with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns.

Requirements

  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • A degree in Chemistry or a closely related field.
  • Experience teaching Chemistry at Key Stages 4 and 5 is highly desirable.
  • A passion for Science and the ability to inspire enthusiasm in students.
  • Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of behavior.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive approach to professional development and a willingness to contribute to the broader school community.
