A prestigious educational institution in Reading is looking for an experienced Head of Technology Teacher to lead their Technology department. This role is perfect for a dynamic leader who is passionate about technology and education.
Day-to-day of the role:- Lead the planning, development, and implementation of the Technology curriculum across the school.
- Teach technology classes, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning are maintained.
- Manage and support the Technology teaching staff, including conducting performance reviews and organising professional development opportunities.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the technology curriculum and make adjustments as necessary.
- Collaborate with other department heads and senior management to enhance the overall educational strategy of the institution.
- Engage with students and parents to foster a positive learning environment and community spirit.
- Recognised teaching qualification in the UK.
- Proven experience as a Technology Teacher and in a leadership role within a UK school.
- Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum and educational standards for Technology.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire both staff and students.
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
