About the hospital:
Our hospital has state-of-the-art facilities, and this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist GPHC Qualified to work as a Pharmacy Manager based in Reading, Berkshire as part of their friendly and motivated pharmacy team. Our hospital undertakes a range of procedures including orthopaedic, urological, cosmetic, spinal, gynaecological and general surgical procedures. The amazing Pharmacy team are passionate about the high-quality care they provide, and we are looking for a driven Pharmacy Manager to lead the team permanently.
You will be working as a Pharmacy Manager and will be responsible for:
- Provision of exemplary pharmacy service by current legislation, clinical requirements and accepted professional and ethical standards
- Provide advice and support to consultants, other clinicians and patients
- Ensuring the safe, appropriate and cost-effective use of medicines
- Providing leadership to the Pharmacy team including motivating and effectively managing the staff
- Advising on the safe management of medicines to the hospitals and their departments
- Lead on quality improvement projects and audit within pharmacy
Who we're looking for:
- Be GPHC registered - with no restrictions or conditions of practice
- At least 5 years UK experience post-graduation within a hospital setting
- Experience in clinical leadership is essential
- Clinical diploma desirable
