OTE £65K including average overtime, paid door to door.

LWS Services are proud to be the exclusive recruitment partner of an award-winning team who are global leaders within the Industrial Shredder equipment market. Due to expansion, there is now an exciting opportunity for an experienced Multiskilled Field Service Engineerto join their engineering team.

The Role:

  • Travelling to customer sites, diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults and fixing industrial shredding machinery to ensure that customer downtime is kept to a minimum.
  • Inspections and servicing of shredders and recycling machinery.
  • Installing and commissioning shredder machinery newly delivered to customers.
  • Providing basic shredder operation and maintenance training to customer operators to ensure their ability to use shredders safely and effectively.
  • Frequent overnight stays (on average at least 3 nights per week)
  • Weekend work may be required and, on a Rota, basis.

Field Service Engineer Essential Experience / Skills required:

  • Knowledge of heavy plant will be essential, and previous experience with shredders, crushers and screeners would be a major advantage.
  • Apprentice trained Electrical / Mechanical Engineer (Multi- Skilled)
  • Single or 3 phase Electrical qualifications or experience is essential.
  • Skilled in diagnosing and fixing electrical and mechanical machinery faults.
  • Worked with gearboxes and bearings.
  • Experience Installing and commissioning industrial machinery.
  • Full UK driving licence (ideally clean)
  • Flexibility is required in relation to working hours to ensure that jobs are finished.

Additional Package Information:

  • 40 hours per week - Monday to Thursday 08.00 to 17:00 and Friday 08:00-15:30 (45 mins for lunch each day)
  • 29 days holiday including bank holidays rising to 33 after 4 years’ service
