Students attending the school are aged 5 - 18 years old and face challenges regarding social, emotional and mental health needs. The Youth Mental Health Advocate role is a key position within the school's community.

Responsibilities of a Youth Mental Health Advocate include:

  • Positively reinforcing techniques to encourage students
  • Create a safe environment for students to speak freely
  • Collaborate with educational psychologists to tailor learning plans
  • Implementing therapeutic techniques
  • Encouraging independence
  • 1-1 based support and interventions
