The school are fully committed to creating a supportive, nurturing environment where students can express themselves freely and receive the support they need while still accessing high quality education. Students attending the school are aged 7 - 16 years old and face challenges regarding social, emotional and mental health needs. The Youth Mental Health Advocate role is a crucial position within the school's community.

Main Responsibilities of a Youth Mental Health Advocate:

  • Using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage students
  • Create a safe environment for students to speak freely
  • Collaborate with educational psychologists to tailor learning plans
  • Implement therapeutic techniques
  • Encourage independence and self-investigation
  • 1-1 based support and interventions
