Youth Mental Health Worker

An amazing school in Reading are looking for a recent graduate to collaborate with their specialist teachers to provide students with significant social, emotional and mental health needs support throughout their educational career. As a Young Mental Health Worker, you will provide a safe space for students to open up about the challenges they are facing and provide them with solution suggestions on how to handle them in a healthy manner. As well as this, you will gain experience on identifying potential triggers for students and work on how to approach these triggers.

The school are looking for a committed, confident and well-educated candidate to take on the role of Young Mental Health Worker and bring enthusiasm and empathy into the classroom. Ideally, the successful applicant will have excellent behaviour management skills, education surrounding Special Educational Needs and experience in either a professional or home environment. The Young Mental Health Worker will get the opportunity to experience working along qualified therapists, behaviour management consultants and specialised psychologists which could open up doors and aid their entrance into the industry.
