We are excited to be working with one of our fantastic Public Sector clients who require an experienced Housing Officer on a permanent basis. The organisation provides housing, care and support services for people who want to live more independently. They support more than 1,000 people with learning disabilities, mental health needs, physical or sensory impairments, in 32 districts in London and southern England.

The role of Housing Officer will see you deliver an intensive Housing Management service to a patch of about 120 properties with a customer base where a level of support may be needed.

Key duties include:

  • Providing advice on all tenancy matter, welfare benefits and rehousing requests.
  • Assist residents with their support needs and to maintain their tenancies.
  • Pro-actively monitor rent accounts taking early action to minimise rent arrears.
  • Assist in the efficient void turnaround and lettings.
  • Carry out estate inspections and monitor and report repairs and maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Housing with exposure to Supported Housing being beneficial. The candidate must understand the needs of customers with learning difficulties and/or mental health needs.

A full UK driving license is required for this role as the properties are quite dispersed.
