Autism Specialist - ReadingImmediate Start - Full-Time

Academics LTD are working with a specialist school in Reading who cater to children with a primary diagnosis of Autism (ASD), seeking a compassionate and positive Autism Specialist. The position offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience working alongside qualified SEN practitioners and psychologists.

This is an incredible opportunity for anyone seeking experience working in Education, Teaching or Mental Health. The Autism Specialist role will enable you to deepen critical skills through working on a 1:1 and group basis with children (ages 3-18) with Autism, behavioural challenges, sensory issues, and communication difficulties. Additionally, many of the pupils have coexisting mental health needs so this would be a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to start a career in mental health.

Autism Specialist Requirements:

  • Close collaboration with other SEN practitioners and psychologists
  • Promoting the well-being of students
  • Helping students reach Learning Milestones and academic objectives.
  • Demonstrated Interest in working with children or in Mental Health
  • Enthusiastic, positive and calm under pressure

Fantastic opportunity for a graduate looking to gain experience in an education setting, or someone who wants to work in psychology or mental health. No experience required, however recognised qualifications include: Degree, Level 3 qualifications + or any other experience working with SEN children.
