Are you experienced in supporting children with autism and additional needs? Are you looking for a job role that is fulfilling?

A fantastic, newly established school in Reading are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join their team as an Autism Specialist in November 2024. The school provide specialised education and support to students with Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and want to take on an Autism Specialist to better support their students with additional needs.

The school follow a pupil-centred curriculum, with the intention of building students' confidence and motivation. As an Autism Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for students facing challenges throughout the school day. You will assist the school in promoting Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), responding to challenging behaviour with compassion. The successful Autism Specialist will communicate with fellow staff and experts on site in order to adjust Educational Health Care Plans to best suit the individual needs of the students. The students at the school benefit from consistent support throughout the school day, meaning a large portion of the Autism Specialist role is operated on a 1-1 basis.
