An opportunity with a fantastic school in the Reading district has become available for a recent graduate or passionate individual to join the school's team of support staff.

We are working with an amazing school in the Reading district who are looking to welcome a Mental Health Specialist to their team of support staff, joining clinical therapists, educational psychologists and safeguarding officers in providing the school's students with additional support and guidance. The school caters to a population of students aged 4-19 who all come from diverse backgrounds and have varying additional needs regarding mental health, social and emotional confidence and developmental trauma. The school want a Mental Health Specialist to begin their career with them in February 2025 and support the students on a 1-1 basis. The pupils need consistent support and encouragement to ensure they reach their full potential within their academic career and in society.

The successful Mental Health Specialist will be responsible for working with children on a 1-1 basis throughout the week. The job role includes supervising students throughout class time, helping them to maintain focus on tasks, finding regulation methods to follow during turbulent situations and encouraging them to develop independence. While working as a Mental Health Specialist, you will be focusing on the student's internal dilemmas and facilitating therapeutic techniques. While working with the students, you will act as a role model and provide guidance to students navigating turbulent situations.
