Are you a recent Graduate or an experienced Teaching Assistant with an interest in mental health and emotional resilience? Are you considering a future career as a Therapist or Psychologist but want to build your experience first?

Academics LTD is working with a specialist school in Reading that provides tailored support for children aged 5 to 18 with a range of mental, emotional, and social needs. The school is seeking a resilient and proactive Youth Mental Health Support Worker to join their team. This role offers the chance to gain valuable hands-on experience working alongside qualified SEN professionals and psychologists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating closely with external specialists and psychologists
  • Supporting children with Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Helping students develop emotional regulation and social interaction skills
  • Demonstrating a passion for working with children or an interest in the SEN field
  • Having a positive, energetic attitude and the ability to stay calm under pressure

This position is ideal for graduates looking to gain experience in an educational setting or for those who want to pursue a career in Psychology or Mental Health.
