Looking for an Infrastructure Engineer for our huge client with Automation Devops skills - terraform, ansible as core skills, vmware and scripting languages experience as well.

Contract - inside IR35 (via umbrella)

Location - Reading/Havant (remote working)

Duration - 6 months initiallyAs a member of the Group Technology Services (GTS) team you would contribute to the delivery of core Infrastructure services delivered within the organization, with the primary objective to provide automation capabilities and optimisation across the infrastructure technology stack. The role will provide the opportunity to be part of our client's digital transformation along with its Cloud migration journey, ensuring the platform achieves the target standards of efficiency, resilience and availability required by the organisation.This role focuses on the core on-premise infrastructure components and associated cloud services and will give the right candidate the opportunity to contribute to infrastructure projects across a variety of services and platforms.As a team player, you will work closely with a team of strategists, architects and engineers to craft technical solutions that in turn accelerate our business, and this role focuses on working to:* Identify and progress opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement across the team, delivery, and operational practices.* Collaborate to reduce operational risk within the platform.* Partner with Product owners and management to manage and clearly articulate demand planning and delivery against the projected backlog and book of work.* Provide automaton to support our applications adopting our platforms.What do I need?To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:* Good knowledge of on-premise Infrastructure services, such as Virtualisation platforms, Firewall and Networking technologies* Extensive experience in Infrastructure automation, with knowledge of configuration tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef and Terraform.* Knowledge of Operating Systems (Windows and/or Linux).* Ability to write software scripts in at least one general-purpose programming language (Bash, PowerShell, Python)* Understanding of either Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure and Cloud Native Architecture is desirable, but not essential* Strong communication skills to be able to collaborate with teams across the organisation to help support our client's cloud adoption.
