PHP DeveloperTech: PHP, NodeJS, Symfony, HTML, CSS Location: remote in England with travel to Reading Area office on day 1 and quarterly

Do you have 4+ years experience using PHP commercially?
Do you ideally have 1+ year experience using NodeJS commercially? ?
Do you have experience coaching and mentoring as well as leading code reviews and architectural decisions?

A forward thinking Software Vendor is looking for a Senior PHP Developer to be part of the internal IT systems development team. You will work in an agile environment with other teams (including product development, sales, support, and marketing) to deliver business applications based largely on web technologies.

An exciting future project will involve supporting a Greenfield SaaS Platform build using modern NodeJS. This is a great opportunity to use your expertise whilst having the opportunity use modern technology and methodologies to create exciting products for clients.

Responsibilities include: PHP Developer

Design, code, test, document, maintain, and support web-based applications
Contribute to requirements, design specification, and technical documentation
Research emerging technologies and products; recommend suitable products and plan implementation
Contribute to project planning (agile development)
Lead code reviews; mentor and coach
Support and suggest architectural decisions

Experience Required: PHP Developer

4+ years' commercial software development experience using PHP
Ideally 1+ year commercial experience using NodeJS
Ideal experience using Symfony
Experience with Object-oriented techniques and relational databases (MySQL or Postgres would be ideal)
Collaborative approach to develop and maintain professional working relationships
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience mentoring and coaching and leading code reviews
Experience making or supporting architectural decisions
