Senior Engineer (AWS & TS) | Reading every other week | £70-90k
Do you want to be the go-to person for all things AWS?
My client is on the lookout for an experienced TypeScript Engineer, with particular strengths on the backend using Node.js.
As the Tech Lead shifts into more management responsibilities, this leaves an AWS skills gap in the team and they are keen to add an engineer who enjoys working heavily with AWS - ideally you'll have expertise across AWS Lambda, CDK & DynamoDB, but a passion for AWS and desire to expand your skills in this field are equally of interest.
With the product they are building, their goal is to enable greater financial freedom to millions of people globally, so the work you do will make a big difference.
Their engineering culture is one that is close-knit & fosters skills development via regular R&D sessions every other week where you can explore whatever you want.
Their deployment environment is also exceptional, and they focus heavily at staying at the cusp of best practice & the most modern technologies available.
What you'll need
- Strong technical expertise with TypeScript development, ideally with a lean towards backend development with Node.js (there could be some occasional frontend development with React)
- Strong AWS skills, ideally with knowledge of AWS Lambda, CDK & DynamoDB
- Passionate about AWS & cloud-based infrastructure & excited at being the SME within this area of the stack
- Good DevOps knowledge
- Experience of working on a high-volume product would be highly advantageous
- Any FinTech experience would be beneficial
- Able to travel into Central Reading every other week
