Experience of being a Test Lead and who can use their own initiative without being told what to do.
- Experience on leading a large project from a testing perspective.
- Good automated and QA testing knowing end to end SDLC lifecycle
- ETRM experience
Key Responsibilities
* Manual Testing:
o Execute comprehensive test suites, including functional, regression, integration, user acceptance testing and non-functional. (For example, performance and security.)
o Analyse test results, identify and document defects, and track them through to resolution.
o Perform exploratory testing to uncover unexpected issues.
o Participate in user story reviews and provide feedback on testability and requirements.
* Automation Testing:
o Develop and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate tools.
o Design and implement automated test frameworks and infrastructure.
o Integrate automated tests into the continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) build and release pipelines. (Classic and YAML)
o Analyse automated test results and identify areas of improvement in test coverage efficiency.
* Collaboration and Communication:
o Collaborate effectively with delivery leads, developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve issues.
o Communicate testing progress, risks, and issues effectively to team management.
o Participate in daily stand-up meetings and other team activities.
* Continuous Improvement:
o Stay up-to date with the latest testing methodologies, tools and techniques.
o Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance the quality and efficiency of testing activities.
o Contribute to the development and improvement of the QA process within the team.
Skills and Experience
o Proven experience in manual and automated testing.
o Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and testing methodologies.
o Strong planning and organisation skills.
o Experience with test automation frameworks and tools. (For example, Ranorex Studio, Postman, Playwright, Selenium and NUnit/JUnit/MSTest.)
o Experience of using Azure DevOps. (For example, Git repository and pull requests.)
o Experience with Agile development methodologies. (For example, Scrum and Kanban.)
o Experience with programming/scripting languages. (For example, C# .Net, Java, Powershell and JavaScript)
o Experience with working with APIs. (For example, REST, SOAP and WebSocket.)
o Experience with SQL and relational databases.
o Experience of handling data structure. (For example, JSON and XML.)
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
o Experience in Energy Trading and Risk Management preferable but not essential.
