The Role:

As a Non-Teaching Head of Year, you will play a crucial role in the pastoral care and well-being of their students. Your primary focus will be on providing support, guidance, and leadership to ensure that each student feels valued and supported throughout their school journey. This role is pivotal in promoting a positive school culture and addressing the individual needs of students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the pastoral care.
• Develop and implement strategies to support students’ emotional, social, and academic development.
• Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to provide comprehensive support for students.
• Monitor and track student progress, attendance, and behavior, implementing interventions as needed.
• Foster a positive and inclusive school environment, promoting respect and understanding among students.
• Organize and lead year group assemblies, events, and activities that enhance the school experience.

About You:

• Experience: Proven experience in a pastoral or similar role within an educational setting is essential.
• Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• Passion: A genuine passion for student welfare and a commitment to making a positive impact on their lives.
• Knowledge: Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
