Key Responsibilities - Burghfield Common, Reading

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil.
  • Implement strategies to support the pupil's mental health, emotional well-being, and social skills.
  • Adapt lessons and activities to suit the student's individual needs.
  • Collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and external professionals to develop and follow the pupil's Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP).
  • Foster a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: Prior experience working with SEN/SEMH children is highly desirable. This may include professional or personal experience.
  • Education: A degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field is advantageous but not essential.
  • Skills: Strong communication, resilience, and the ability to adapt to a variety of situations.
  • Attitude: A positive, empathetic, and proactive approach to helping children overcome barriers to learning.
