Job Description: This friendly and outgoing team are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to work with students diagnosed with SEMH and ASC. The supportive and friendly Headteacher is more interested in people with life skills and empathy, then experience. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored support to students, helping them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH and ASC
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Support students in developing social skills and emotional regulation
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to monitor and report on student progress
  • Implement behaviour management strategies in line with school policies

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEMH and ASC
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special education or a related field is desirable
