A fantastic Specialist School in Reading is seeking an empathetic and dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to help support students with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, and learning difficulties. As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, your role will involve working closely with the class teacher and SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to ensure students receive the tailored support they need. Your duties will include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group assistance to children with Autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties
  • Supporting students in class, helping them to engage with the curriculum
  • Assisting with classroom management and implementing individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Offering emotional and behavioural support to students facing challenges in and out of the classroom
  • Collaborating with therapists and other support staff to provide a holistic learning environment

The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children with additional needs and will have a patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to learning support.
