Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - Theale
Location: RG7, Reading
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (term time only)
Pay: £83.50 - £90 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: January 2025

As an SEN Teaching Assistant - Theale , you will play a key role in helping children with special educational needs access the curriculum and thrive in a positive learning environment. Working closely with class teachers and the SENCo, your responsibilities will include:

Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups to meet their individual needs.
Adapting resources and teaching strategies to cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
Encouraging independence and confidence in the classroom.
Collaborating with colleagues to implement individualised education plans (EHCPs).

What We're Looking For:The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, patient, and dedicated to supporting children with SEN. While passion and a proactive attitude are essential, the following qualities are highly desirable:

Experience: At least 2 years of experience working in a UK primary school setting.
Knowledge: Familiarity with SEN strategies and an understanding of the UK curriculum.
Qualifications: A teaching assistant qualification is advantageous but not essential.
Enhanced DBS: An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
