About the role
We are looking for a skilled and patient Teaching Assistant to support our ASEND Tutor in afternoon sessions with a 7-year-old boy with Autism and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in his school. He has Speech and Language difficulties and struggles with flexibility of thought, often engaging in restricted, repetitive play. Our student is a lovely, happy, and playful child with a great sense of humour. He enjoys role-playing, buses, cars, superheroes, dinosaurs, animals, zoo webcams, and playing on his tablet.

To help with this ideal candidate will be able to build a calm and nurturing environment, trusting relationship, engage him in his interests, and provide consistent, supportive interventions to help him thrive in a structured school environment.
