We are excited to have a vacancy for a Specialist KS1 Teacher to join our team at an amazing school based in Reading, England. Our school provides to KS1 students with SEMH needs, Autism, ADHD and other additional needs so we are looking for a Specialist KS1 Teacher that has an understanding of special educational needs. Our school is committed to helping students re-engage with their education and re-ignite their excitement and motivation for learning! We want to welcome a dedicated Specialist KS1 Teacher to supporting students as soon as possible!

We are looking for someone keen to make a difference and shares the schools values when catering to student's individual needs /EHCPs. As a Specialist KS1 Teacher, the role involves planning and delivering a varying curriculum to children with additional needs related to speech, communication, cognitive skills and sensory/physical requirements.

Specialist KS1 Teacher Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting a class of 4-5 students
  • Planning, leading and teaching classroom activities
  • Monitoring and recording progress both academically and against EHCP's
  • Working closely to keep students engaged, motivated and inspired by linking their personal interests to the curriculum
  • Working closely with Teaching Assistants so they can effectively support pupils

We are looking for a Qualified Teacher who is compassionate, resilient and committed to heling pupils reach their potential. Communication skills are key, both verbal and written communication will be a big part of your role.
