SEN Support Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Understanding and supporting children with Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Working with students with various needs, including Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, behavioural challenges, sensory issues, physical disabilities, and communication difficulties
  • Helping students build emotional regulation and social interaction skills
  • Demonstrating a genuine interest in working with children or in the Special Educational Needs (SEN) field
  • Bringing a positive, bubbly personality and remaining calm under pressure

This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience working alongside skilled SEN professionals and psychologists, making it perfect for Psychology or Criminology graduates.
