Package: £45,000 - £52,000 + Bonus

Working alongside the General Manager you will be part of the senior management team, helping drive forward the sales and profitability of the business. This Assistant Branch Manager role is a great opportunity with great potential to develop within the company in the future. As with most Assistant Branch Management positions, the role entails sales team supervision as well as overseeing the operational side of the business too. If anything, the sales supervision side of the business will take up more of your time and so it may also suit anyone with Sales Management experience from with the Builders Merchants world too.
To avoid disappointment though, please bear in mind you must have some form of operational / supervisory experience as well as sales experience and this must come from the construction supply industry. The rewards are clear though. The basic is strong and the overall package is excellent and future progression is encouraged within this company.
You should be able to multi-task and have great communication skills to ensure the right things are happening at the right time. This company's clients have become used to sterling service and this must continue! You should be able to inspire your staff to enable this to happen and be able to pass on sound sales advice to your colleagues when required. A good understanding of what makes a branch function well financially is also required.
