Our client, a prominent player in the Highways and Transport Planning sector, is currently seeking a Senior Transport Planner to join their team in Reading. This is a permanent role offering the opportunity to work on diverse and impactful transport planning projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and assessing transport planning strategies and solutions
- Conducting transport assessments and travel plans for various developments
- Providing expert advice on transport policy and regulation compliance
- Managing and mentoring junior staff, ensuring quality and accuracy in project delivery
- Collaborating with stakeholders, including clients, local authorities and the public
- Preparing detailed reports and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Utilising transport planning software for data analysis and projections
Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience in transport planning, with a strong understanding of the HTP sector
- Proficient in transport assessment methodologies and travel planning
- Strong knowledge of transport policy, regulation, and compliance requirements
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills
- Ability to lead and manage project teams effectively
- Skilled in the use of transport planning software
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Relevant degree in transport planning, civil engineering, or a related field
