Working as Operator you will be responsible for providing operator support as line operator to the leading setters to maximise shift efficiencies. This will include assisting on the changeovers of the line ensuring shift KPIs are achieved. As well as this you will be involved in the setting and operating of the punch presses ensuring adherence to the quality system and safe working practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- To be responsible for the quality of parts produced and ensure they confirm to company standards and product drawings
- Set and operation of shear
- Set and operation of punch presses
- To ensure all the company procedures are followed with respect to product checking
- To run machines to achieve cycle times as recorded on the route cards
- Assist Setter/Team Leader in improving changeover times, machine run efficiencies and tooling set ups
- Keep work areas clean and tidy to help minimise the risk of accidents
- Ensure health and safety of self and others at all times
- Assistant in maintenance on machines as and when required
- Transportation of goods within the factory, assisting with stock checks and general housekeeping within the manufacturing unit.
Working Hours & Pay:
- £12 - £12.50 per hour
- Rotating shift work: 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm
- Work 37.5 hour week paid for 40 hour week (tea breaks paid for)
