Pertemps Reading is seeking a Service Technician for a Hydraulic Repair company in Reading.
The role requires working hours from 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday and 08:00 to 12:00 on Saturdays on a rota basis.
Responsibilities include on-site hose replacement, promoting company products, and managing a Mobile Sales and Service Unit.
Candidates should have basic mechanical knowledge, a full UK Driving Licence, and experience in a technical or engineering environment is preferred.
The salary for this position is competitive, and candidates should ideally have relevant experience.

Service Technician

Pertemps Reading are looking for a Service Technician to work with a Hydraulic Repair company based in Reading.

Working Hours: 08:00 17:00 Monday to Friday, 08:00 12:00 Saturday on a rota basis

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for:

Providing on-site hose replacement to customers (including being part of a 24-hour on call rota for a week at a time 1 in 3 weeks)
Promote company products and services to existing and prospective customers
Maintain the highest levels of health and safety practice
Day to day management of a Mobile Sales and Service Unit including:
- Maintaining sufficient stock levels
- Performing routine maintenance checks and defect checks
- Managing all documentation including technical and procedure updates

To be considered for this Service Technician role, you should possess the following:

Basic mechanical knowledge
Good manual dexterity and physical ability
Full UK Driving Licence
Work experience in a technical/engineering environment is advantageous but not essential
Ability to present yourself in a professional manner to customers, staff and colleagues
