Location: Reading, Berkshire
Salary: £32,500 - £44,370 per year (dependent on experience)
About the Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of our client. A family-owned company with over 50 years of experience in the demolition, decontamination, and recycling industries. Our client is looking for a skilled HGV Mechanic to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing their fleet of heavy goods vehicles to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics of HGVs.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs to meet safety and performance standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.
- Minimize vehicle downtime by collaborating effectively with the operations team.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic.
- Relevant certifications and qualifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
