We are currently working with an education provider in the beautiful Lake District area who are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Trainer/Assessor to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The position would involve delivering Mechanical Engineering training up to level 3 at two sites (3 days in Carlisle, 2 days in Workington. Ideally our client are wanting someone who can do a combination of theory teaching up to Level 3 plus some workshop teaching in some or all of the following skills: Handskills, Mechanical Maintenance, Milling and Turning, Hydraulics and Pneumatics. The role will start as a purely workshop-based delivery position, but might expand to involve some work-based assessing once you settle in.

The starting salary would be between 32,000 and 39,700 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience), and you would also get a salary sacrifice pension (8% employee/10% employer), business mileage payments, and a holiday allocation of 36/37 days (including Bank Holidays). Relocators would be considered.

-good hands-on Mechanical Engineering knowledge/experience
-a passion for passing on your knowledge

While the education provider are ideally looking for someone who has a teaching qualification, they would be more than happy to fully fund the right candidate through a teaching qualification on the job if they don't already have one.
