Shift Engineer Mechanical
Our client, one of the UK’s premier manufacturers of civil and construction steel products is looking for an experienced, Maintenance Engineer to work within their manufacturing facility in the Barnsley area. With a wide range of products our client is able to give total solutions to its customers needs as well as offer to each customer a level of unparalleled service and technical back up. The key to this role is ability to work within a fast-moving production and manufacturing company maintaining and fault finding on a range of mechanical systems such as hydraulics, pneumatics, cutting and bending machines, gearboxes as well as machine shop equipment with some very basic electrical experience.
The Role                                               Â
This role is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all mechanical equipment within our client’s facility. Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, gearboxes is required and if possible some very basic electrical exposure, which would be found in cutting, welding and bending machines. The role requires applicants who have reactive and proactive maintenance and repair experience as well as fault finding experience. These are industrial engineering types of roles and require applicants to work on an early, late and night shift in rotation. Overtime will be available and applicants who are happy to pick this up would be ideal.
The Person
Applicants will preferably have present or previous mechanical maintenance and repair experience. Applicants with fault finding experience would be ideal. Applicants should be suitably qualified within mechanical trade experience and if possible some very basic electrical knowledge but should ideally be mechanically skilled.
