MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

Salary: 40,000 - 45,000 per annum

Location: Redcar, United Kingdom

I am currently seeking a full-time Management Accountant to join a busy finance team. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of management accounting experience, forward-thinking, an enthusiastic, and driven mindset. If you're ready for a new challenge, we'd love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller and based at their Redcar offices, the Management Accountant will play a crucial role in their finance team.

Key objectives include:

- Data Extraction: Extracting relevant data from the sales and accounting systems to drive informed management decisions.
- Monthly Management Accounts: Producing accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including relevant KPIs.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.
- Budget Preparation: Assisting in the preparation of the annual budget.
- VAT Returns: Ensuring timely and accurate preparation of VAT returns.
- Statutory Reporting: Handling statutory reporting requirements (e.g., PAYE, ONS).
- Payroll Oversight: Overseeing and authorising weekly payrolls.
- Fixed Asset Registers: Reviewing and overseeing fixed asset registers.
- Adhoc Reporting: Producing and developing other adhoc reports as needed.
- Year-End Accounts: Assisting with year-end accounts and liaising with auditors.
- System Implementations: Supporting system implementations when they occur.
- Financial Controller Support: Providing support to the Financial Controller and covering in their absence.
- Excel Proficiency: Demonstrating a strong aptitude with Excel.

Qualifications and Experience:
- CIMA qualified accountant or Qualified by experience with minimum of 3 years of management accounting expertise

- Experience in management accounting- Computer literacy, especially in Excel
