CK Group are recruiting for an Experienced Production Chemist to join a bespoke chemicals manufacturing company, at their site in Teesside on a full time, permanent basis.


Working hours:
Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm.


The Company:


Our client is a manufacturer of bespoke chemicals for various industries, specializing in precursors for ALD / CVD manufacturing of electronics and other niche applications.


Salary:


30,000 - 35,000 depending on experience.


Location:

This role is located in Teesside and is commutable from as far south as York and as far north as Newcastle.


Production Chemist Role

You will be responsible for the synthesis and transfilling, sampling and bottling of high purity chemicals. The chemicals are air sensitive and are handled under inert nitrogen atmospheres using vacuum/nitrogen lines and glove boxes. You will be working in a lab environment with a small team of chemists, working with laboratory glassware in volumes between 5L and 100L and using standard laboratory techniques.


Your main duties will be to:
  • To work on medium scale lab based air sensitive synthetic processes.
  • Meet customer time scales and standards of production.
  • Sample products for QA and analysis.
  • To follow SOPsand develop new SOPs as required.

Your Background:

The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience:
  • A degree in Chemistry or related science.
  • Proven industrial experience in a lab/production environment.
  • Familiar with working on 20L to 100L scale reactors.
  • Familiar with glass lab reactors.
  • Experience with scale up from lab scale to aforementioned production scales.
