About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced School Science Technician in Middlesbrough who would be open to working for two schools in Middlesbrough.This is a temporary position with an immediate start.The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the science departments, ensuring that practical lessons run smoothly and safely.Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up equipment and materials for science lessons.
- Assist teachers during practical lessons and demonstrations.
- Maintain and organise the science laboratories and prep rooms.
- Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned and stored after use.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Provide technical support and guidance to students and staff.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a school environment is essential.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment and safety procedures.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
