Driver Project Services are seeking Area Maintenance Workflow Controller with a strong background inmajor chemical, petrochemical or oil and gasrelated projects to support one of our teams on a dynamic, long-term project in Teesside area.



The role:


Accountable to the Area Maintenance Manager, the Workflow Controller will be responsible for providing technical planning support to the wider Maintenance team, including contractor Field planners.

In addition, the suitable candidate will be expected to foster and help to deliver a One Team Approach whilst driving improvement.



Key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):


  • Triage incoming notification from field. Act as focal point for planning on assigned Main Work Centre.
  • Own and manage the SAP data for the Work Centre.
  • Provide support to the contractors field planning team and produce reports on their effectiveness.
  • Convert an accepted notification into a PMO, ensuring SAP fields and all relevant coding is correct.
  • Assign and manage Maintenance engineering PMO tasks to and from the area team as required.
  • Interface between key stakeholders (Maintenance Engineers, Operations, and Inspections).
  • Ensure tasks are managed within workflow line with OM413 and other standards.
  • Ensure compliance tasks (inspections and defects) are proactively managed through workflow to provide maximum delivery window and compliance.
  • Work with key stakeholders to reassess priority of planned tasks (PMOs) based on operational risk prior to PMO release to ensure optimum delivery window and correct prioritisation.
  • Run the meetings in the operating rhythm as required.
  • Support POP (Priority Over Plan) process by creation and assignments of reactive PMOs.
  • Review quality of Planning Output and assign to release in priority order to maintain an effective workload in front of the contractor that enables effective scheduling of resources and preparation for task delivery.
  • Implementation of best practice in line with the Clients standards and procedures.
  • Providing support to maintenance engineering team.



Key candidate criteria:


  • Relevant experience within the Petrochemical, Oil and Gas and/or Industrial sector.
  • Previous experience as Maintenance Supervisor, Planner, Coordinator and/or Controller.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
