Our Wilton International site, within the Teesside Freeport, sits amongst a hub of decarbonisation innovation. At the site, we provide energy-intensive industrial businesses with combined heat and power (CHP) via our private wire network that supplies electricity generated by gas and biomass.

These services are complemented by our fleet of fast-acting, decentralised power stations and battery energy storage sites situated throughout England and Wales. Monitored and controlled from our central operations facility in Solihull, these flexible assets deliver electricity to the national grid, helping to balance the UK energy system and ensure reliable power for homes and businesses.

Position overview:

The role forms part of the UK Digital team where the role holder will aim to provide a service and act as a bridge between business needs and digital solutions. Focus on identifying and leveraging the correct digital technologies to ensure continued improvement of business processes to keep pace with market changes and business operating requirements.

To work closely with stakeholders to identify business requirements, propose digital solutions, and ensure successful implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirement Gathering & Analysis o Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and digital objectives. o Gather, document, and analyse business requirements for digital projects. o Create detailed business process maps, user stories, and use cases.
  • Digital Strategy Development o Work with cross-functional teams to define and implement digital strategies.

    o Analyse current digital capabilities and identify areas for improvement or innovation.

o Provide insights on market trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in the digital space.

  • Solution Design & Implementation o Collaborate with IT, developers, and UX/UI teams to design digital solutions. o Ensure that digital initiatives align with business objectives and deliver expected outcomes.

o Facilitate the translation of business needs into functional and technical specifications.

  • Stakeholder Communication & Management o Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. o Ensure clear communication regarding project goals, timelines, and progress.

o Conduct workshops, presentations, and meetings to align expectations and deliver updates.

  • Project Management Support o Support project management activities such as timeline planning, resource allocation, and risk management.

o Monitor project deliverables and ensure they meet quality standards and business requirements.

  • Data Analysis & Reporting o Analyse digital performance metrics and KPIs to assess the success of digital initiatives.

o Provide actionable insights based on data analysis to optimize digital strategies.

o Create reports and dashboards to track progress against digital transformation goals.

  • User Experience (UX) Focus o Collaborate with UX/UI teams to ensure user-centric designs and smooth customer journeys.

o Analyse customer feedback and digital touchpoints to improve overall user experience.

  • Change Management

o Support change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of digital solutions. o Conduct training sessions and provide documentation for new digital tools or processes.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience in digital business analysis or similar roles, with a focus on digital transformation projects.
  • Experience in Digital Transformation and demonstrate experience working on website development or other industry related digital platforms.
  • Strong Analytical Skills with ability to analyse complex business processes, digital trends, and performance metrics to provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent Communication Skills with strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Experience facilitating workshops, conducting stakeholder interviews, and presenting to senior management.
  • Understanding of project management principles and methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile).
  • Ability to manage timelines, resources, and risks effectively.
  • Problem-Solving Skills with a strong ability to identify challenges and propose effective digital solutions aligned with business goal.

Desirable

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Certification in Business Analysis or Agile certification (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, Agile BA)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their role in digital transformation.
  • Expertise in driving organisational change and adoption of new digital processes and technologies.
  • Prototyping and Wireframing Skills with familiarity with prototyping or wireframing tools to assist in the design phase of digital project.
