Pipeline Engineer - 18 months + (Fixed Term Contract)

Reporting to the Senior Project ManagerBased in: WiltonSalary: Negotiable - Whilst all salaries are graded, Sembcorp are keen to attract, retain and develop the highest calibre of colleague. The company also offer a market leading benefits package and annual bonus.Position overview:The Pipeline Engineer is part of the Project Delivery Team to define, review and set the standard for projects. This role will be the team’s subject matter expert for pipeline standards and ensuring that design for new pipelines and modification to existing are in line with the UK and company standards. Sembcorp has a new contract for a company to install new infrastructure on its land and requires a team to support delivery of the works. The role holder will be responsible for setting the standard and reviewing detailed design and technical documents, whilst ensuring that all meeting the required engineering and safety standards.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:• Positively encourage a culture of safety first.• Working with the Project delivery team to develop a strategy to deliver project performance in line with commercial obligations.• Develop projects from idea generation through to operational handover. This will include working with third parties and the Projects Engineering team to define project scope, FEED studies, datasheets, project management, Hazard Study Reviews, Commissioning plans, Training. • Actively seek updated, new, and emerging engineering standards to ensure the site standards are up to date and the assets in the business are Best Available Technology and comply to the latest Health, Safety & Environmental legislation, and statutory requirements.• Provide technical advice to the projects team.• Continuous Improvement of existing business operations. • Responsible for ensuring a structured and managed electronic Engineering/Technical Specification/Standards Register in in place.• Ensure that contractors provide accurate drawings as part of a build review and acceptance.• Assisting the projects department with the specification and procurement of parts associated with delivery of the projects advising on legislative and relevant engineering standards to ensure compliance and "World class" standards maintained. • Developing a strategy for interfacing with the current projects team with regards to the key requirements for Wilton site development and handover to Operations.

Essential:• A relevant Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) is essential.• Extensive experience in a mechanical biased Engineer role is required.• Experience in managing a project in the engineering and development stage.• Background in power, utilities, or process industry.• Planning and organisational ability.• Understanding of wider commercial pressures.• Excellent interpersonal skills. • Competency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is a must.• A full driving licence is required and a right to work in the UK is essential.For more information on this opportunity please contact at retained recruitment partner Adam Pearson at Imperial Recruitment Group
