Sewing Machinist

Job Description

Our client based in Redcar are looking for a number of Sewing Machinists to work in their busy Manufacturing Facility. Ideal candidates will have experience of working in with Industrial Sewing Machines or alternatively Sewing Machine experience. The role consists of using mechanical sewing machines to create personal protective wear.

Duties

• Set up and run sewing machines in accordance with SOP’s.
• Machine operation and setting.
• Ensure equipment is running correctly and safely. Take appropriate action to resolve problems, when necessary, request assistance from maintenance or supervision.
• Ensure that customer specification is adhered to and appropriate quality standards are maintained.
• Ensure that all work areas are kept clean, tidy
• Carry out quality checks as stipulated in customer specification or advised by the QA Department.

• Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Additional Information

Location: Redcar

Hours of work:

Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm

Friday 8am - 1pm

Rates of pay:

• £11.67 per hour
