About Us:Randstad is excited to partner with the Fostering Team in Redcar and Cleveland to recruit a passionate and skilled Social Worker.This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and foster carers by supporting foster placements and ensuring that children are provided with a safe, caring, and stable environment.

Job Description:As a Social Worker in the Fostering Team, you will be responsible for supporting foster carers and overseeing the placement of children in their care.You will play a key role in the assessment, supervision, and training of foster carers, ensuring that fostering placements are stable and meet the needs of the children.

Responsibilities:

  • Support foster carers through regular visits, supervision, and guidance.
  • Conduct assessments of foster carers, ensuring that they meet the requirements for providing high-quality care.
  • Participate in the recruitment, assessment, and training of new foster carers.
  • Work collaboratively with foster carers, children, and other professionals to ensure that the needs of children are met.
  • Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, fostering panel reviews, and case conferences.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of foster carers and placements in compliance with statutory guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience working within fostering or children's services.
  • Strong knowledge of fostering regulations, safeguarding procedures, and relevant legislation.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and build positive relationships with foster carers and professionals.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy caseload.
