Key Responsibilities of the Financial Accountant:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts and provide financial insights to support decision-making.
- Lead VAT returns and ensure HMRC compliance, liaising with external auditors for statutory accounts preparation.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting, supporting the management team in driving financial strategy.
- Provide advanced Excel support for profitability analysis.
- Drive the transition from manual to automated financial processes as the business continues to grow.
- Experience in an SME or start-up environment
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills required
