Key Responsibilities of the Financial Controller:
- Oversee the preparation and management of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Manage and control monthly and year-end closing processes, delivering accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Provide insightful financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with senior leadership to ensure business objectives are met.
- Ensure the integrity of financial data and maintain strong internal controls across all areas of the business.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk to ensure the company's financial health.
- Develop and lead a small finance team, providing coaching, support, and development opportunities.
- Collaborate with other departments to drive improvements in financial processes and operational efficiency.
- Maintain effective relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other key stakeholders.
Key Essentials of the Financial Controller:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
- Proven experience in financial control within a manufacturing or similar environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial software systems
