Project Accountant required to work onsite for a manufacturing business based in Redditch. In this newly created role you will form part of a team that successfully manages the company finances. Taking a business partnering approach the ideal candidate will be a current studier in the latter stages of gaining a qualification or newly qualified in CIMA / ACCA or ACA.

  • Production of costing report and update Manufacturing cost ratio calculation monthly
  • Reporting of current and forecast, financial position of relevant cost centres to manage delivery in line with budget expectation
  • Responsible for the development of business cases to support new project activity and subsequent tracking and management of project spend.
  • Maintain and update fixed asset registers.
  • Regular reconciliations and accurate asset classification.
  • Handle depreciation calculations and asset disposal processes.
  • Physical audits of assets and reconcile fixed assets register.
  • Oversee inventory valuation and manage stock control processes.
  • Perform month-end stock accounting.
  • Implement automation of stock valuation
  • Perform stock reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory policies and procedures.
  • Manage the sales and purchase ledger, ensuring timely invoicing and accurate record-keeping.
  • Prepare regular ledger reports for management review
  • Assist in tracking project budgets and expenditures, including identifying and reporting potential financial risks or discrepancies.
  • Provide accurate financial analysis to support decision-making.
  • Assist in the month-end close processes, including reconciliations and reporting.
  • Support the Management team with financial analysis, and special projects as required.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment with financial policies.
  • Support audits
