Description

  • Production of costing report and update cost ratio calculation
  • Overseeing and executing financial processes and procedures.
  • Responsible for relevant cost centres, to manage delivery in line with budgets
  • Track and manage project spend and forecast future spend
  • Maintain and update fixed asset registers
  • Perform stock reconciliations and variance analysis
  • Conduct physical audits of assets and reconcile
  • Oversee purchase and sales ledger
  • Analysing and interpreting financial data to aid decision making
  • Performing financial analysis for project budgeting and contract performance.
  • Ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Working collaboratively with other departments to streamline accounting processes.

Profile

A successful 'Project Accountant' should have:

  • A solid grounding in accounting principles and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in using systems and Excel
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience in reporting, budgeting and forecasting
  • Experience of financial planning, reporting and variance analysis
  • Background in process improvement
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • A team-oriented mindset, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a can-do attitude.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
