SF Recruitment are currently working with a Redditch based manufacturing business in the recruitment of a Project Accountant. We are seeking a part qualified or qualified accountant ideally with experience in the manufacturing sector. Key duties will include: o Production of costing report and update Manufacturing cost ratio calculation monthly o Responsible for providing clear communication and reporting of the current, and forecast, financial position of relevant cost centres to manage delivery in line with budget o Track and manage project spend to date and estimated future forecasts. o Maintain and update fixed asset registers. o Conduct regular reconciliations and ensure accurate asset classification. o Handle depreciation calculations and asset disposal processes. o Conduct physical audits of assets and reconcile them with the fixed assets register. o Oversee inventory valuation and manage stock control processes. o Perform month-end stock accounting. o Perform stock reconciliations and variance analysis. o Assist in tracking project budgets and expenditures. o Assist the Finance Manager in the month-end close processes, including reconciliations and reporting. o Support the Finance Manager and Head of Finance with ad hoc activities, financial analysis, and special projects as required. Qualifications: o Minimum AAT Level 4 qualification (or equivalent). o Actively studying towards ACCA or CIMA. o Strong proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel. o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
