Job Title: Freight Business Development Manager
Location: Redditch
Salary: £40,000 - £47,000 (Depending on Experience)
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5.30pm
Holiday Entitlement: 22 Days + Bank Holiday
This senior sales role involves developing new business, by cold calling and face to face visiting. Negotiating with Air, Road and Sea Freight suppliers to obtain the most competitive rates to enable you to calculate and submit quotations, following up and securing trial bookings.
Duties Will Include:
- New Business Development & Account management of existing clients.
- Building client relationships to maximise business potential.
- Negotiating with air, road and sea freight suppliers to obtain rates.
- Calculating and submitting quotations.
- Internal liaison with the sales team assisting with quotations and service information.
- Liaison with the Operations team to pass on the necessary client instructions.
Skills and Experience Needed:
- Proven Business to Business (B2B) Sales Experience.
- Freight industry experience is necessary (Road, Air or Sea).
- Good organisational skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Can work to deadlines and handle pressure.
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic character.
