Job Description: Hydraulic Designer

Location: West Midlands

Overview: My client is looking for a skilled Hydraulic Engineer to join the team on a 2-month contract. The successful candidate will work on projects related to test equipment for the aerospace division, specifically focusing on hydraulic systems. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge aerospace technology while working with a dynamic and innovative company based in the West Midlands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and evaluate hydraulic designs to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Size and select appropriate hydraulic pumps for various applications.
  • Perform pipework calculations to determine optimal sizing and layout.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure seamless integration of hydraulic systems.
  • Utilise experience in working with jet fuel on hydraulic projects to enhance system performance and safety.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in hydraulic engineering, with a strong background in reviewing designs, sizing pumps, and selecting pumps.
  • Proficient in performing pipework calculations and designing efficient hydraulic systems.
  • Experience working with jet fuel on hydraulic projects is highly desirable.
  • Ability to start immediately and commit to the full 2-month contract duration.
