The Role:
As a Building Surveyor specialising in insurance claims, you will be responsible for assessing property damage, providing accurate reports, and guiding clients through the claims process. You will play a crucial role in ensuring fair outcomes for policyholders while maintaining strong relationships with insurers and other stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site inspections of residential and commercial properties affected by damage (e.g., fire, flood, subsidence).
  • Produce detailed and accurate reports on building conditions and necessary remedial works.
  • Liaise with insurers, loss adjusters, and policyholders to facilitate smooth claim progression.
  • Provide expert advice on repair methodologies and costs.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations and industry standards.
  • Deliver clear communication and support to clients throughout the claims journey.

 

About You:

  • Proven experience as a Building Surveyor, preferably within the insurance sector.
  • Strong knowledge of building construction, pathology, and insurance claim processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail.
  • Professional qualifications (e.g., MRICS, MCIOB) desirable but not essential.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
